The GoFish Management Team has significant experience from some of the most reputable and exciting online and traditional media companies.  Key players were recruited from companies including Tribal DDB Worldwide, Yahoo!, AOL, Warner Bros., HBO, Nickelodeon, Fox Kids, Pixar, and Meez.

  • Our Sales Team is led by a 15 year advertising sales veteran, whose most recent experience includes Yahoo!  The team has successfully built relationships among Fortune 500 brand advertisers that are spending against the youth demographic including Kellogg's, Disney, Sony, Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Pepperidge Farms, among others.
  • Our Board of Directors includes Executive Chairman, Jim Moloshok, who was named by TV Week as a "Top 10 Internet Executive You Can't Afford to Ignore" ; the venerated Peter Guber, a thirty-year veteran of the entertainment industry and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mandalay Entertainment Group (which, unfortunately for our sales team, does not own the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino); and John Durham, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner, Catalyst, and former president of Jumpstart Automotive Media, a pioneer in online advertising and interactive marketing, who created some of the world's largest and most successful advertising networks and has probably driven some of the world's most expensive cars.

Matt Freeman, CEO

Matt FreemanMatt Freeman is the CEO of GoFish. Former Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tribal DDB Worldwide, Freeman grew the company from 45 employees and $5 million in annual revenue to over 1,500 employees and $250 million in annual revenue while building a global network of 45 offices spanning 28 countries. He developed broad, global relationships with Fortune 100 clients including PepsiCo, Philips, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald's, Volkswagen, ExxonMobil and Unilever. Freeman also started and scaled specialized business units in Search (SEM & SEO), Hosting, Database development & Analytics (including proprietary econometric modeling applications), Digital Healthcare Marketing, Gaming, Mobile, iTV and Strategic Consulting.

In January 2006, AdWeek named Tribal DDB Worldwide its Interactive Agency of the Year and in January 2008, Adverting Age awarded it Global Agency Network of the Year. Both publications cited Freeman's leadership as a critical factor in Tribal's enduring success. In 1997 and 1998, Freeman was Executive Creative Director Modem Media / Poppe Tyson (since then acquired by Digitas, Inc.; now a Division of Publicis Group). There, he led efforts on IBM & other key clients and was part of the merger integration team with Modem Media and Poppe Tyson. Before that, he was Partner, Executive Creative Director at Poppe Tyson (formerly a division of True North, now Interpublic Group) from 1995 to 1997. Earlier in his career, Mr. Freeman was a writer at MTV working on Beavis & Butthead and MTV Beach House and he was a private school English teacher.

Freeman, a graduate of Dartmouth College and the NY School of Visual Arts, has been inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement; is the Founder of the Interactive Agency Board of the IAB, is an active Board member of the Advertising Club and the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4As) and is a member of the Marketing Advisory Board of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).

Jim Moloshok, Executive Chairman

Jim MoloshokJim Moloshok is the Executive Chairman of GoFish. Throughout his career Moloshok has managed the intersection of technology and entertainment for some of the world's biggest media companies including Yahoo!, Warner Bros. and HBO and was named by TV Week as one of the 'Top Ten Internet Executives You Can't Afford To Ignore.'

As President of Digital Initiatives for Home Box Office, Moloshok was responsible for exploring new opportunities for the company, focusing on innovative content and fast-changing technology. Before joining HBO, Moloshok was senior vice president, Entertainment and Content Relationships at Yahoo! building partnerships with movie studios, TV networks and producers. While at Yahoo!, the areas under his supervision included Kids, Movies, TV, Games, Sports, Health and News. Prior to joining Yahoo! Moloshok was president of Warner Bros. Online and president and CEO of Entertaindom.com, an original entertainment destination for Time Warner.

Under Moloshok's leadership, Warner Bros. was named by Variety as the 'Most Aggressive of All Studios on the Web,' and in its debut month, the independent Entertaindom eclipsed other more established entertainment sites. Warner Bros. Online was the first studio site to accept advertising and evolve into an online business with its own sales and marketing team separate from any other sales efforts of the company.

Prior to running Warner Bros. Online, Moloshok was senior vice president of Marketing at Warner Bros. and previously held the same position at Lorimar Telepictures, a television distribution company, which merged with Lorimar in 1986 where he was also responsible for marketing to consumers, broadcasters and advertisers.

Jim, who lives in the Los Angeles area, was a child spokesperson for UNICEF, and was a responsible party in the discovery of 'weather legend' Al Roker, having hired Al for his first job in television.

Tabreez Verjee, President

Tabreez VerjeeIn February 2007, Tabreez was named president, overseeing the company's operations as well as strategic and corporate development. Prior to 2007 Tabreez was a member of the Board of Directors and an investor in the company.

Tabreez brings an extensive track record of success to GoFish. His most recent work includes being a Founder and General Partner at Global Asset Capital, LLC, an investment firm with diversified interests in venture capital and private equity. In this capacity, he directed more than $500 million in committed assets across multiple venture capital funds and over 40 portfolio companies in the U.S. and Europe.  Investors across the funds included leading financial institutions as well as strategic investors such as Cisco, Qualcomm, British Telecom, IBM, Proctor & Gamble and General Electric.

Previously, Tabreez co-headed Sonique (IMDI) and successfully negotiated its sale for more than $70 million to Lycos. Sonique was one of the leading downloadable music applications and at its height in 1999 had more than four-million registered users and was the fifth most downloaded application on the Internet.

Tabreez's first start-up at the ripe age of 21 was as Founder and Managing Director of Global Entertainment Capital, which raised $150 million in capital for media financings and completed the first ever stand alone investment grade securitization of music royalties for heavy metal band Iron Maiden for $30M.

Tabreez started his career at Bain & Company, an international business strategy consulting firm.  He received a bachelor of science in Engineering with honors from University of California at Berkeley.

Tabreez is an early investor and member of the board of directors at Kiva.org, the world's first peer-to-peer microfinance platform, which has been heralded in the press for its innovation and has been featured on both the Oprah Winfrey Show and by Bill Clinton in his recent book on giving.  He is also a charter member of TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, a global, non-profit network dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship.

He loves travel, tennis, and other competitive sports, and although he rarely gets to do any of those things, he has been known to blind opponents with his stunning good looks and hot shoes.

Lennox Vernon, Chief Accounting Officer

Lennox VernonLennox brings over 30 years of successful financial and operations experience to the Company. Prior to joining GoFish in 2004, he was Controller of Moderati Inc., a provider of high-impact mobile content to consumers and wireless carriers.

Previously, from 2003 to 2004, Lennox served as the Controller of two start-ups, Optiva Inc.and PaymentOne Corporation.

For years, Lennox has operated at various high-level capacities, acting CFO, Vice President Controller and Corporate Controller at Fair Isaac, Macromedia, and Pixar respectively.

Lennox graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science, and is a certified public accountant in the State of California. In a recent company competition, Lennox was beat out by Shelby the Pug for "Best Smile". However, he took home the prize for "Most Interesting" based on facts about his life:

  • He's fluent in the Caribbean Creole dialect
  • He's been married for 37 years
  • He has Mayan lineage -- Mayan is nearly extinct
  • He learned math on an abacus while being taught by the Jesuits in the jungles of Belize

Lori Macias, VP & General Manager

Lori MaciasLori has an amazing amount of energy at 8am for someone who probably didn't get to bed until 5am. She is responsible for overseeing the company's business, sales and publisher operations, research initiatives, product strategy and corporate communications. Additionally, she works closely with members of the management team to ensure communication and coordination.

A Co-Founder and former VP of SlingShot Media, a Los Angeles based company that collaborated with the professional entertainment community to develop, produce and distribute original programming online.

Prior to SlingShot Media, Lori spent over five years at Yahoo! Inc. where she began in the market research group. In 2003, Lori joined the Home Page Team where she was responsible for the development of marketing programs and execution of all paid promotion on the Yahoo! Front Page. Over a two year timeframe, Lori effectively grew revenue on the product over 650%.

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with honors and a dual major in Economics and Psychology (seriously), Lori looks forward to a day when she is no longer living out of boxes and watching television atop an exercise ball that doubles as a couch.

C.J. Bowden, VP, Advertising Sales

CJ BowdenC.J. oversees advertising sales for all audiences and markets. He joined GoFish Networks as VP of Program Development and Sales in October 2006.

With over fifteen years of media experience - both online and traditional, CJ - with Lori - is a Co-Founder and former VP of SlingShot Media, a Los Angeles based company that collaborated with the professional entertainment community to develop, produce and distribute original programming online

Prior to Slingshot Media, C.J. was the Yahoo! Entertainment Sales Director managing annual advertising revenues in excess of $10mm.

At the age of 9, C.J.'s love of food and sales collided when he constructed, managed, and then sold a popular restaurant made entirely of Lincoln Logs. After the sale, he pursued and perfected his hobby of starching and ironing his shirts.

David Fisch, VP, Publisher Development & Marketing Programs

David FischDavid joined GoFish Networks as VP of Program Development and Product Management in October 2006. He has led the growth and development of the company's premium publisher network and is also responsible for the creation of marketing programs and custom opportunities to connect brand advertisers with consumers on the network.

David, with Lori and C.J., is a Co-Founder and former VP of SlingShot Media, a Los Angeles based company that collaborated with the professional entertainment community to develop, produce and distribute original programming online.

Prior to Slingshot, David was Yahoo!'s Director of Vertical Marketing Solutions, where he is credited with developing some of the most successful and valuable integrated programs on the Yahoo! Network. His pioneering use of specialized sales tools, collateral, category research, and network-wide packages and innovative ad units, led him and his team to $600 Million in annual category sales and a 200% increase in category sales revenue.

David spends most of his time outdoors, because he considers himself a friend to all beasts, rocks, and "growy things." He is an avid Rock Climber and Mountaineer for over 25 years. David is also a Certified Skydiver, enjoys skiing and snowboarding, and, on the rare occasions he is standing still, makes an excellent martini.

David LoriƩ, General Counsel, Director of Investor Relations

David LoriƩAfter graduating from UC Davis Law School, David worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster, specializing in corporate finance and technology transactions. In 2001, after almost five years at the firm, David left to serve as General Counsel and help turnaround one of his clients, DeRemate, the leading online auction company in Latin America.

DeRemate was sold to eBay's Latin American affiliate, Mercado Libre (Nasdaq: MELI) in 2005. David next went to serve as general counsel for Amanco, a Latin American light construction materials company which was sold in 2007. Most recently, David served as general counsel for Franz, the leading seller of dynamic, object-oriented development tools, assisting in their spinout of AllegroGraph, the leading graph database for the semantic web.

Despite that last sentence, David is actually an extremely interesting individual. He's lived several years hanging out with lizards, sloths, and monkeys in Latin America, and once recited the California Constitution for 48 hours from the top of the Transamerica Pyramid. He can also slam dunk a basketball and assured his place in the pantheon of baseball greats when, at the age of ten, he made an unassisted triple play.

He's also very proud of the fact that his father once beat Raul Castro at Ping Pong.
