Kimbo Slice says No, No, No to Las Vegas
With his October 12th fight looming, Kimbo Slice has opted to finish training in Los Angeles. He had been training in Las Vegas at Randy Couture’s Xtreme Couture Gym, but he says he’s finding it easier to focus in LA.
Did you know? Kimbo Slice’s real name is Kevin Ferguson. Kimbo was
videotaped in a number of Miami underground fights and the clips spread
like wildfire across on the Internet – making Kimbo one of the
internet’s first true viral video superstars. Now Kimbo says his
backyard bare-knuckle boxing days are over. He had his MMA debut
against former world champion boxer Ray Mercer on June 23rd. In a
three-round exhibition utilizing all professional rules of MMA, Slice
defeated Mercer with a guillotine choke at 1:12 into the first round.
Kimbo takes on legendary MMA brawler “Tank” Abbot at Cage Fury Fighting
Championships 6 October 12th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
